Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. More than 1.8 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using the Docusign AI-native IAM platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

As Director of Technical Program Management (TPM), you will serve as a strategic partner to Product and Engineering executive leadership, driving the operational engine behind our highest-priority technology investments. You will lead an organization of 8-10 high-performing Technical Program Managers responsible for orchestrating complex, cross-functional roadmaps from concept to global scale. In this role, you will establish the portfolio governance, operating model, and delivery frameworks that bridge Engineering, Product, Design, and Go-to-Market (GTM). You will shape pillar-level OKRs, optimize capital and headcount allocation, and ensure disciplined execution that accelerates business growth and system reliability.

This is a people manager role reporting to the VP, Technology Development & Business Operations.

Responsibility

  • Partner with Product and Engineering GVPs to translate multi-year business strategies into prioritized technical roadmaps, ensuring investments directly support corporate growth and revenue targets
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on capacity planning, resource trade-offs, and dependency mapping across pillars
  • Own the definition, tracking, and operational rigor of pillar-level OKRs, instilling shared accountability across Product, Engineering, and GTM
  • Design, scale, and mature the governance framework and delivery operating model across Product and Engineering, establishing standards for technical execution, release readiness, and financial transparency
  • Define portfolio health metrics, delivery KPIs, and operational dashboards to identify systemic bottlenecks and drive data-backed improvements across the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Enable teams to identify, escalate, and resolve technical, architectural, and schedule risks well before they impact delivery
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a distributed team of 8-12 TPMs, fostering an inclusive culture of high performance, accountability, and technical curiosity
  • Champion the TPM discipline across the enterprise by establishing career progression frameworks, leveling criteria, evaluation benchmarks, and continuous learning programs
  • Act as the primary conduit of operational truth for pillar initiatives, delivering crisp, transparent synthesis of portfolio performance, trade-offs, and critical escalations to C-suite and executive stakeholders
  • Cultivate deep cross-organizational partnerships across Engineering, Product, Design, Finance, Legal, and GTM to eliminate silos, align dependencies, and ensure seamless go-to-market execution
