As a Senior Accountant, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and demonstrate proficiency in accounting systems. You are highly motivated to contribute to efficient monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, as well as accurate financial reporting. Your strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and effectiveness in cross-functional collaboration enable you to excel in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Manager, Accounting.
Responsibility
Own the accounting and reconciliation processes for capitalized software and leases, ensuring compliance with ASC 350-40 and ASC 842
Maintain and reconcile projects subledger, including rollforwards of capitalized software assets
Prepare and post journal entries for software capitalization, impairments, and all lease-related activity such as additions, modifications, and terminations
Analyze and reconcile capitalized software activity to ensure accuracy and completeness, in accordance with ASC 350-40
Evaluate project information to make recommendations to support capitalization decision-making
Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Real Estate, and Engineering to ensure appropriate asset classification and cost capitalization
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, completing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses accurately and within reporting timelines
Assist with process improvements and internal controls
Provide timely and accurate support for audit requests
Participate in other special projects, including system updates and policy enhancements
Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

Basic
BA/BS degree with a CPA or equivalent
5+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience required
Understanding of US GAAP
Proficient in Excel
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
High degree of analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to work independently and balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Experience in a large corporation or SaaS technology company
Experience with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance requirements and internal controls
Experience with Oracle Fusion or other large, well-known ERP systems
Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
Meticulous attention to detail
Familiar with Google suite of products
Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment preferred

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $94,000.00 - $136,600.00 base salary
Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $89,400.00 - $116,175.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $89,400.00 - $122,125.00 base salary
Washington DC: $94,000.00 - $122,125.00 base salary
Ohio: $80,000.00 - $104,000.00 base salary
