Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

Docusign is reimagining how government agencies manage, understand, and act on their agreements. Our Forward-Deployed Engineers (FDEs) are the bridge between innovation and impact — embedding directly with federal customers to design, prototype, and help deploy secure, AI-enabled agreement workflows that drive mission outcomes.

You’ll be at the front line of this transformation—building what’s next for secure, intelligent government workflows. nbsp;Given the strategic nature of our federal engagements, this position is based in the Washington, D.C. metro area to enable close collaboration with our customers and partners.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Director, Solution Consulting.

Responsibility

  • Design, build, and deploy end-to-end applications that span backend microservices, data orchestration pipelines, vector databases and modern front-end interfaces

  • Apply an author of experimentation mindset — build concepts, iterate on feedback, and create reusable libraries, prompts and scaffolds to accelerate future engagements

  • Design and implement solutions that meet FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST and other agency security requirements, addressing both government procurement and citizen facing use cases

  • Operationalize large language model (LLM) capabilities, build custom extractions, semantic search, and workflow intelligence within FedRAMP-authorized environments

  • Iterate on AI/ML solutions, including LLM prompting and tuning to optimize agreement use cases

  • Embed with customers—on site or virtually—to adapt and iterate solutions in live environments, expeditiously navigating legacy system constraints, ATO processes, and evolving data-classification rules with agility and compliance discipline

  • Work closely with your team to translate customer requirements into technical designs, manage execution and share field‑tested insights with Docusign’s product teams to shape Intelligent Agreement Management

Job Designation
