What you'll do

As a Senior Recruiter based in Tokyo, your primary focus will be on driving recruitment efforts for the region, sourcing and attracting top-tier diverse talent. Leveraging your deep understanding of the local talent market, industry trends, and competitive landscape, you will develop and execute tailored recruitment strategies to support our dynamic growth in the Japan market. You will be responsible for hiring across all of our business units in Japan from Sales & Customer Success through to Professional Services, Marketing & Operations, filling both  immediate vacancies and also building a robust talent pipeline to meet future needs. 

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition, APJ.

 

Responsibility

  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies that align with our business goals and attract a diverse range of top-tier talent

  • Collaborate and partner with our Hiring Managers & key stakeholders  to understand the specific needs and requirements for roles across a number of business units

  • Utilise a variety of sourcing methods to attract a diverse pool of candidates, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals

  • Engage proactively with passive candidates through targeted outreach and networking events

  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process by providing timely feedback and maintaining clear communication

  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to keep candidates informed and engaged from initial contact through to onboarding

  • Conduct thorough market trend analysis through LinkedIn Insights and other tools to stay informed about the latest developments in the tech industry and the local job market

  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, pass through rates and offer acceptance rates

  • Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the recruitment process

  • Cultivate strong partnerships with hiring managers and key stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on talent acquisition and workforce planning

  • Collaborate with the wider HR team to enhance recruitment processes, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and a positive candidate experience

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

 

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring

Basic

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fluent in Japanese and business- level in English
  • 6+ years of agency and/or in-house recruitment experience in the Japan market
  • 3+ years of Sales recruiting experience within a software organisation
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment software
  • Proven ability to analyse market trends and data to develop informed recruitment strategies using LinkedIn Insights, Visier or other data analytics tools
  • Experience hiring for Sales roles across all levels - from entry level through to senior leadership roles
  • Familiarity with advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search and other search methodologies
  • Skilled in conducting various types of interviews (structured, competency-based, technical, etc.)
  • Proven success in hiring high volume roles (8+ roles per quarter)


Preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with candidates and stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience influencing, educating and advising senior level stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail while operating with a sense of urgency
  • Penchant towards metrics data informed conversations
  • Experience in hiring technical operational roles across all levels

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

 

California: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Washington DC: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Ohio: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary 

 

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
