What you'll do

We are seeking a Wireless Subject Matter Expert to engineer, troubleshoot and optimize our high-density Wi-Fi infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert, capable of troubleshooting intricate network issues, leading project implementations.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Manager, Network Engineering and Collaboration Platform.

 

Responsibility

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data loss prevention within cloud and on-premises environments

  • Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks

  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex network and security incidents, participating in on-call rotations as a senior escalation point

  • Drive automation initiatives for network provisioning, security configuration, and incident response, leveraging scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Collaborate with InfoSec and other IT teams to integrate network security solutions and ensure a unified security strategy

  • Be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Docusign’s enterprise network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on workplace technology and ZTNA transformation

  • Exhibit a customer-centric approach to requests and responses, collaborate with other members for practical and scalable solutions to problems

  • Automate where possible, implement and improve processes where necessary

  • Design and provide operational and infrastructural requirements that promote uptime, speed and security on a global scale

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing global enterprise network environments.
  • Experience with complex network infrastructures, with a strong emphasis on wireless technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi 6, controllers, access points) and wired networks
  • Experience with routed and routing protocols (STP, IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc)
  • Experience with enterprise wired and wireless solutions (Cisco switching and routing, Juniper Mist WLAN, Palo Alto Networks, Zscalar)
  • Experience in network security, scalability, observability and application delivery
  • Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS is preferred)
  • Experience with networking principles, AWS/Azure, scripting in Python, and cybersecurity best practices, particularly with Palo Alto Networks and Zscaler security solutions
  • 6+ years of experience with systems or software engineering, operating systems, networking concepts and infrastructure security
  • Experience using configuration management tools at scale such as Ansible or Puppet
  • Experience with building digital experience for improving infrastructure reliability
  • Bachelor’s in computer science or relevant experience

Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of system administration, Linux TCP/IP
  • Self starter with ability to effectively prioritize and execute projects without much direction/supervision
  • Network and security professional level certifications (CCNP, JNCIE, PCNSE)

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

 

California: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Washington DC: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary

 

Ohio: $X/hour - $X/hour or $X - $X base salary 

 

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
