What you'll do

The ERG Program Manager is an essential member of the Culture, Belonging, and Talent Innovation team, responsible for managing a portfolio of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and their initiatives to drive growth, strategic alignment, and impact across the enterprise. This role plays a vital part in ensuring ERGs are positioned as key drivers of our belonging strategy, the broader company culture, and communities for employee engagement and growth.

 

Working cross-functionally, the ERG Program Manager will lead the next phase of aligning our ERGs efforts with business goals and outcomes, governance and planning, influencing and guiding ERG leaders and executive champions, and building relationships. This role combines program and change management expertise with strong relationship skills to foster innovation, streamline practices, and build and scale best-in-class ERG programs. This role requires a strategic thinker who can be seen as a trusted advisor to leadership, manage global initiatives, optimize ERG activities, and develop new programs that enhance the professional and personal growth of ERG members. The ideal candidate will have proven, significant experience in ERG strategy, policy development, and global program management.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Culture, Belonging and Talent Innovation (CBTI).

 

Responsibility

  • Lead the evolution of ERGs to align with business outcomes and goals, developing a clear return on investment (ROI) and comprehensive organizational value

  • Develop and manage a suite of key performance indicators, build quarterly leadership reports aligned to the performance scorecard including recommendations for planned improvements

  • Monitor and manage program effectiveness, setting global goals and measuring satisfaction

  • Establish ERGs as a strategic and trusted advisory employee group for leadership, providing insights and recommendations on various organizational initiatives and decisions and at times, indirectly manage across stakeholder groups to drive change

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with ERG leaders, members, and executive sponsors and partners with HR, Communications, Legal, Procurement, and other stakeholders as needed to support ERG activation and sustainability

  • Influence and coach Docusign Leadership Group (DLG) to build advocacy, sponsorship, and support for the ERG to drive broader organizational impact

  • Align dedicated, in-region team members to ERG outcomes through matrixed leadership

  • Build a roadmap and manage the global belonging speaker series by selecting business aligned topics, and coordinating with speakers and ensuring impactful and relevant sessions

  • Oversee ERG optimization activities, identifying and implementing innovative ways to build synergies across ERG events and activation within the regions

  • Ensure effective administration of the ERG platform and adoption of tools and templates to create efficiency

  • Educate and lead ERGs on the company’s global communication process and ensure timelines are met for events in partnership with regional support team members

  • Develop and govern ERG policies globally, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards (examples: service term limits, succession planning, expense guidelines)

  • Coordinate the ERG impact events globally, utilizing our impact and regional partners to maximize reach and effectiveness

  • Develop standard ERG offerings that enhance ERG members' professional and personal growth, improving the opportunity for global reach and scalability

  • Manages multiple priorities effectively without sacrificing quality or customer experience

  • Build the brand and recognition of ERG leadership roles as an internal talent pipeline and influence recognition and consideration of these roles in talent processes (examples: talent performance and talent assessment)

  • Develop and manage the annual budget cycle, global consolidation of ERG plans, quarterly business reviews, and ERG leadership summits and ensure efficient utilization of resources

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

 

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years of experience in ERG strategy, HR or Talent roles, with policy development, and global program leadership

  • Proven track record of aligning ERGs with business outcomes and goals

  • Experience in managing global initiatives and measuring effectiveness

  • Experience in policy development and governance on a global scale

  • Ability to develop programs that enhance the professional and personal growth of ERG members

  • Ability to monitor and measure program effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and measure ERG impact and ROI

Preferred

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong organizational skills with experience in managing multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously

  • Innovative thinker with the ability to optimize ERG activities and build synergies across events

  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to be seen as a trusted advisor to leadership

  • Demonstrated success in designing and scaling global ERG programs across multiple regions and cultures

  • Experience leading large, cross-functional teams and managing complex, matrixed stakeholder environments

  • Advanced expertise in change management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Prosci, Kotter, ADKAR). Certifications

  • Proven ability to influence executive leadership and drive organizational change through ERG initiatives

  • Track record of building and executing high-impact programs or global events that drive engagement and belonging

  • Experience with digital ERG platforms and tools, including implementation and optimization for global audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop ERG leaders, fostering a pipeline of talent for leadership roles

  • Experience navigating legal, compliance, and procurement processes related to ERG activities in a global organization

  • Multilingual skills or experience working in multilingual, multicultural environments

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

 

California: $126,900.00 - $197,800.00 base salary

 

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $120,800.00 - $166,100.00 base salary

 

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $120,800.00 - $174,525.00 base salary

 

Washington DC: $126,900.00 - $174,525.00 base salary

 

Ohio: $106,300.00 - $146,125.00 base salary 

 

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
