What you'll do

We are looking for a Data Management Specialist to join our growing team, supporting the Human Resources Data Management team. As a key part of our broader People Technology and Operations team, this individual will work across HR to maintain and ensure the integrity of our employee data. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the data used for business decisions, compliance, and employee satisfaction.

 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Lead, Data Management.

 

Responsibility

  • Drive SOX and SOC control audits by managing evidence collection, monitoring, testing, and process reviews, and deliver detailed audit findings and recommendations

  • Lead process improvement and automation efforts to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and data-driven decision-making—using project management tools to track progress and outcomes

  • Act as a subject matter expert on the employee data lifecycle, advising stakeholders and developing training and documentation to support adoption and consistency

  • Provide data expertise in cross-functional projects, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with enterprise standards throughout the project lifecycle

  • Monitor and validate employee and contingent worker transactions, including hires, changes, leaves, and terminations, to uphold data quality and meet compliance requirements

  • Maintain and update data dictionaries and system documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy across HR systems

  • Deliver data quality reports and insights to HR leadership, identifying trends and recommending areas for improvement

  • Support data validation and testing during system upgrades and implementations to ensure integrity and functional reliability

  • Mentor junior team members on data management best practices, contributing to team knowledge sharing and development

  • Adapt to evolving business needs by performing ad hoc tasks and responding to urgent data requests

  • Participate in team meetings and provide on-site support as needed

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • 4+ years of experience in HR data management, HRIS operations, or a related field
  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, etc.)

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • Strong understanding of the employee data lifecycle, including hires, job changes, leaves, and terminations
  • Familiarity with SOX and SOC compliance requirements and audit practices
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, reporting tools, and data quality analysis
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to create documentation, training guides, and process materials
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to data integrity and accuracy

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

 

California: $35.67/hour - $51.43/hour

 

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $33.37/hour - $43.35/hour

 

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $33.37/hour - $46.38/hour

 

Washington DC: $35.67/hour - $46.38/hour

 

Ohio: $30.38/hour - $39.51/hour

 

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
