What you'll do

We are looking for an Engagement Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for designing, scoping, and proposing professional services for Docusign solutions. This role, along with its team, will have a quarterly sales quota for services. The Engagement Manager will ensure that our service offerings are crafted to guarantee quality delivery that aligns perfectly with client expectations.

 

This position is a people manager role reporting to Director, Regional Delivery Customer Success.

 

Responsibility

  • Lead regional Engagement Managers, provide guidance and mentorship ensuring the overall team’s success, and ensure the region is hitting quota targets and annual goals
  • Engage directly with Sales on key strategic opportunities as well as provide oversight and review of pursuits driven by direct reports
  • Responsible for the management of an accurate pipeline of Services opportunities and communicate forecasts weekly for their team
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success and Partner Success teams to recommend best practices and position the right services to customers
  • Collaborate with CSM leaders to provide services sales support throughout the customer journey supporting adoption and expansion
  • Align to the account teams’ deal strategies, engage in the selling cycle, and pitch the appropriate services to support customer outcomes
  • Collaborate with regional Engagement Management leaders to align on process, positioning, and sales execution globally
  • Review as well as develop compelling services proposals that provide current understanding, key business issues and needs, solution overview, project scope and costing
  • Ensure Engagement Managers position the right service offerings, estimate appropriate work effort, and develop Statements of Work that control risk by clearly articulating scope boundaries
  • Ensure services SOWs are financially sound with appropriate margin, cost reviews, and are within discounting thresholds
  • Partner with Professional Services to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer is conducted once a deal is sold and to support the team when challenges arise
  • Anticipate problems and recommend innovative solutions
  • Achieve customer satisfaction through the sale of sound consulting projects
  • Travel 10-20%

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years of experience in an enterprise level software consulting or services sales
  • 2+ years of experience as a consultant
  • 3+ years in a Services selling role or equivalent position
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proven track record for attaining and exceeding overall Services organization targets

Preferred

  • Experience working within cross functional teams to identify, document and close consulting engagements within a cloud based software company
  • Excellent team building, verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation expertise
  • Superior skills at relationship-building, cross-organizational partnering, and driving results through influence and negotiation
  • Solid experience of services sales within a SaaS based company
  • Experience selling to both commercial and enterprise organizations and an understanding of services complexity needed for each segment
  • A track record of selling services successfully alongside license sales teams and an ability to collaboratively build and execute successful account sales strategies
  • Additional industry vertical expertise (High Tech, Healthcare and Financial Services) along with internal IT Systems and Operations experience
  • CLM experience
  • Excellent communication presentation skills, both verbal written (English, Portuguese, Spanish)
  • Proven track record for attaining and exceeding annual quota
  • Ability to scope and estimate projects and drive contracts and deals to closure
  • Understanding of enterprise development lifecycle (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) and ability to communicate the differences between each as well as how projects are managed in each approach
  • Self-starter that initiates their own personal growth through independent learning of the Docusign Intelligent Agreement Management and methods to support customers in digitizing their System of Agreement

Wage Transparency

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
